Program Director, Fashion Design and Fashion Marketing

This school, run by the French Federation of couturiers, is famous for having such graduates as Yves Saint Laurent and Issey Miyake. While living in Paris, he gained valuable professional experience working in the haute couture salons of Gianfranco Ferre at Christian Dior.
Following these European experiences he travelled to the United States, where he operated in New York as a freelance womenswear designer for high-profile American sportswear brands including Anne Klein Womenswear and accessories. Upon his return to Australia, he was appointed Head Designer for menswear maverick Frontier Aviators, followed by Dina Tailoring Ltd's Aussie Male, Uber Stone and B-Squared menswear labels which were nationally distributed by Myer and other major department stores and boutiques.
One of Robert's professional strengths lay in womens' and mens' pr?t-a-porter de luxe and haute couture design, and these standards of excellence are encouraged in Raffles students' lush end-of-year graduate fashion shows, where the couture knitwear curriculum, for example, is seen as a market leader and innovator in fashion design education circles.
Apart from his current role at Raffles, as a fashion journalist Robert writes a regular menswear column called "Ask Robert" as well as fashion features for America's leading men's lifestyle bible Savvy.com. He is also on the board of FGI - Fashion Group International.
