Raffles Design Institute, Shanghai, is a subsidiary of Raffles
Education Corporation (a Singapore listed company) and is operated in
association with Donghua University. We have colleges in China
(Shanghai, Beijing, Changchun, Ningbo, Guangzhou, Changzhou and Wuhan),
Singapore, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Thailand (Bangkok), India (Mumbai),
Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh), New Zealand (Auckland) and Australia (Sydney).
Established since 1994, we are China’s first International Design College and remain today the only International Design College in Shanghai.
At our Shanghai campus, we offer the following courses: Accountancy, Commerce, Fashion Design, Fashion Marketing, Interior Design, Product Design and Visual Communication Design (Graphics Design and Interactive Media Multimedia Design).

Studying in China - Admissions Policy
Students who possess high school certificate or equivalent can apply
for the design or business programs. The following are to be submitted
to the admission staff of
Raffles International Admissions Office at time of registration:
- Duly completed application form
- Photocopy of highest attained education qualification.
- Photocopy of personal identification card.
- Two 2-inch photographs and three 1-inch photographs.
Student Visa
You can hold a tourist Visa to enter China and the school will process
the Student Visa application. The documents required are as follow:
- Letter of Acceptance for Admission from Raffles Design Institute, Shanghai will be issued.
- Copy of high school qualification.
- Copy of passport.
- 10 copies of 2-inch passport-sized photographs.
It will take about 4 – 6 weeks to process the student visa.
Academic Calendar - Course Intakes
Raffles College Group has 4 intakes annually. This allows students to commence their studies throughout the year at a time convenient to them and ensures that our graduates enter the workforce at four separate times through the year, thus maximizing employment prospects for graduates as well as serving the ongoing human resource needs of business and industry. The academic year consists of 4 terms of 12 weeks each; with one week break in between terms. Examination for the term takes place on the 12th week.
